The Exchange: February 2023

We've had yet another exciting month over at The Exchange on Pole Street, Preston! 

During the last period, the team have progressed exceptionally well with the façade. This has involved work on the window shrouds, brickwork, and cladding panels. Together, cladding panels make up a layer of 'outer skin' that is applied to high-rise building to increase thermal energy efficiency, and to improve aesthetics while not adversely affecting weather resistance.

Internally, the team are continuing to work up through the different floors to fit out the kitchens, install MEP, complete joinery work, and decorate. They have now started to fit the LVT (luxury vinyl tile) flooring into kitchens and dining rooms, with carpets set to go in during the next period.

All four lifts are now complete and fully functioning - they will now be handed over to our team at The Exchange for their use during the remainder of the project. Everyone is really excited to not have to climb up and down those stairs every day!
